The lead will apply infrastructure as code and automated testing to improve consistency across development, testing, and production environments.\nThe Systems Engineering/DevSecOps Lead will collaborate with software developers, architects, testers, cybersecurity personnel, release management staff, and operations teams to resolve delivery issues and support controlled releases. This is a hands-on technical lead role aligned with the Journeyman labor category.\nThis position is remote, with Chicago-area candidates preferred.\nNote: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe Systems Engineering/DevSecOps Lead will:\nMaintain CI/CD pipelines supporting application builds, automated checks, testing, packaging, and deployment. \nDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code definitions and application environment configurations. \nPromote consistent, reproducible configurations across development, testing, staging, and production environments. \nIntegrate automated functional, integration, regression, and approved security checks into delivery pipelines. \nConfigure pipeline quality gates and retain execution results supporting release decisions. \nMaintain artifact repositories, versioning, dependencies, and promotion controls. \nEnsure promoted artifacts remain traceable to source revisions, build records, test results, and approvals. \nDevelop and maintain deployment scripts, environment validation checks, and rollback automation. \nCoordinate release execution with development, testing, cybersecurity, configuration management, and operations personnel. \nValidate application health and expected behavior following deployment or rollback. \nTroubleshoot pipeline failures, build errors, configuration inconsistencies, artifact issues, and deployment problems. \nImplement approved access controls, service accounts, secrets handling, and logging for delivery tools and environments. \nCoordinate remediation of issues identified by automated checks and security reviews. \nMaintain version-controlled pipeline definitions, infrastructure code, scripts, and configuration records. \nDocument build procedures, environment dependencies, deployment instructions, rollback steps, and troubleshooting guidance. \nProvide technical coordination for DevSecOps work, including dependencies, impediments, and delivery priorities. \nSupport release-readiness reviews, operational handoffs, and knowledge transfer. \nImprove delivery reliability and efficiency using pipeline metrics, incident findings, and lessons learned. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nThe following must-have qualifications are drawn from the supplied position requirements:\nActive Secret clearance or higher. \nMinimum of six years of relevant professional experience. \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field, or a permitted equivalent. \nExperience developing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines. \n Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC). \nExperience implementing or integrating automated testing. \nExperience configuring and supporting secure application environments. \nExperience with artifact management and controlled artifact promotion. \nExperience developing or maintaining deployment and rollback automation. \nAbility to maintain automated checks and application environment configurations. \nRelevant cloud or DevOps certification. \nPreferred Qualifications\nThe following qualifications are preferred but are not required:\nExperience supporting federal or Department of Defense software delivery environments. \nExperience with approved CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. \nExperience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or comparable infrastructure and configuration automation tools. \nFamiliarity with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application deployment. \nExperience integrating code analysis, dependency scanning, secrets detection, or container security checks into pipelines. \nExperience with artifact repositories, package registries, and software supply-chain traceability. \nFamiliarity with deployment strategies that support controlled promotion, recovery, and reduced service disruption. \nExperience coordinating release activities across multiple development teams. \nStrong scripting, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and cross-team communication skills. \nOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy\nEEO and Affirmative Action Policy: DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
