This position focuses on identifying and remediating issues related to speed, performance, indexing, site structure, accessibility intersections, schema markup, and internal linking.\nThe Technical SEO Specialist also plays a key role in enabling organizational SEO maturity by developing training materials, workshops, and documentation that help MC&FP staff adopt SEO best practices across content, UX, and technical workflows.\nThis position is fully remote.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe Technical SEO Specialist will:\nConduct monthly technical SEO audits across MC&FP digital properties, identifying issues such as broken links, indexation errors, slow-loading pages, and content delivery problems. \nPerform page speed optimization, address Core Web Vitals gaps, and recommend enhancements to reduce load time and improve mobile responsiveness. \nMaintain and optimize XML sitemaps, robots.txt configurations, and crawlability settings. \nImplement schema markup (JSON-LD), structured metadata, and microdata patterns to improve search visibility and content classification. \nEnhance internal linking strategies and ensure taxonomy alignment for improved information architecture. \nSupport voice-search readiness through structured content improvements and search-friendly page architecture. \nValidate search behavior, indexing patterns, and crawl logs to improve visibility and user discoverability. \nCollaborate with developers, content teams, and UX staff to ensure technical SEO requirements are incorporated into releases. \nCreate and deliver SEO training materials, workshops, documentation, and best-practice guides to support workforce adoption. \nTrack key technical SEO KPIs and produce actionable insights for leadership. \nMonitor algorithm updates and assess impacts to MC&FP digital properties. \nEnsure technical SEO improvements align with federal, DoD, and accessibility requirements. \nQualifications\nClearance Requirement\nCandidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher.\nEducation (Required)\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.\nExperience (Required)\nMinimum 5 years of experience performing technical SEO for enterprise websites. \nExperience conducting technical audits using tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or equivalent. \nExperience optimizing page speed, improving site structure, and applying schema markup. \nExperience collaborating with content, UX, and development teams on cross-functional SEO initiatives. \nExperience developing documentation, training materials, or workshops for internal stakeholders. \nTechnical Knowledge (Required)\nStrong understanding of SEO diagnostics, indexing signals, structured data, canonical rules, and website performance tuning. \nProficiency with SEO tools including Google Search Console, Lighthouse, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and PageSpeed Insights. \nUnderstanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript behavior, and CMS-driven platforms. \nKnowledge of accessibility and mobile optimization best practices. \nTechnical Knowledge (Preferred)\nExperience supporting federal, DoD, or large enterprise content ecosystems. \nFamiliarity with API-driven search services, metadata governance, and taxonomy standards. \nUnderstanding of headless CMS or component-based content architectures. \nSkills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. \nExcellent communication and training abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences. \nAttention to detail and commitment to precision in site diagnostics and documentation. \nAbility to manage multiple concurrent SEO initiatives and deadlines. \nCollaborative mindset for working across content, UX, engineering, and PMO teams. \nOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy\nEEO and Affirmative Action Policy: DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
