This role focuses on creating intuitive, visually cohesive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that improve how service members, military families, survivors, service providers, and internal stakeholders discover, access, and interact with critical programs, information, and resources.\nAs a member of the Digital Experience & Strategy Team, the UI/Interface Designer will work closely with the Senior UX/UI Researcher & Designer as well as other UX/UI professionals, content strategists, creative specialists, data analysts, data scientists, developers, and cross-functional delivery teams.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong visual and interaction design capabilities with a human-centered, research-informed approach. They are comfortable translating complex requirements, user insights, research findings, and technical constraints into practical design solutions and thrive in a collaborative, iterative environment.\nThis position is fully remote. \nDuties & Responsibilities\nDesign intuitive, visually engaging, accessible, and responsive interfaces for MC&FP websites, applications, digital tools, and interactive experiences. \nTranslate user needs, business requirements, and research findings into wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and production-ready interface specifications. \nApply established design principles, including visual hierarchy, typography, color, layout, navigation, and interaction patterns, to improve usability and consistency. \nDesign interfaces that accommodate diverse audiences, devices, digital literacy levels, and operational environments. \nContribute to the development, maintenance, and refinement of reusable UI components, pattern libraries, and design systems. \nDesign and refine interactive elements, including forms, navigation structures, search interfaces, dashboards, and content-driven experiences. \nSupport mobile-first and responsive design approaches while considering performance, low-bandwidth environments, and cross-device compatibility. \nApply Section 508 requirements and applicable Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and relevant Federal and DoD digital accessibility standards throughout the design process. \nContribute to a consistent and connected user experience across MC&FP digital products and services. \nParticipate in collaborative design workshops, ideation sessions, design critiques, usability reviews, and cross-functional planning activities. \nPartner with content strategists, information architects, copywriters, graphic designers, and other content & creative services team members to ensure interfaces integrate clear messaging, meaningful content, and consistent visual branding. \nEnsure designs are consistent with MC&FP brand standards, visual style guides, design systems, and digital experience guidelines. \nQualifications\nClearance Requirement\nCandidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust from any federal agency. \nEducation (Required)\nBA/BS in Information Systems, User Interface Design, Graphic Design, Digital Arts/Media, QA/Testing, Computer Science, or related; 508/WCAG certification preferred; Minimum 3 years' experience. \nExperience (Required)\nApproximately 3-5 years of professional experience designing user interfaces for websites, web applications, mobile experiences, or enterprise digital products. \nStrong understanding of visual design fundamentals, interaction design, responsive layouts, and component-based design. \nExperience creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, user flows, and developer-ready design specifications. \nWorking knowledge of human-centered design methodologies and the ability to apply UX research findings to interface design. \nFamiliarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG principles. \nTechnical Knowledge\nRequired:\nFamiliarity with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards. \nAbility to evaluate designs, interfaces, and content for accessibility. \nDemonstrated proficiency with modern interface design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or comparable platforms. \nPreferred:\nExperience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments. \nExperience supporting Federal Government, DoD, military community, or other large-scale public-sector digital initiatives \nCertifications\nPreferred:\nCertifications in accessibility or inclusive design \nSkills\nStrong advocacy for inclusive and accessible design. \nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities. \nAttention to detail and compliance accuracy. \nAbility to collaborate across design and development teams. \nStrong organizational and documentation skills. \nOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy\nEEO and Affirmative Action Policy: DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
