This position supports the organization by effectively communicating, addressing, and mitigating all shortage, safety, and training concerns across the facility. The LP Agent ensures that both leadership and floor associates are aligned with company standards and best practices. Responsibilities encompass safety compliance, loss prevention, and the overall well-being of associates, with a focus on providing comprehensive support and driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.\nServe as a point of contact for all Loss Prevention and Safety initiatives within the facility. \nSupport and uphold OSHA safety compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment. \nPartner with the Training Team/Supervisor to ensure OSHA compliance and effective Power Industrial Truck (PIT) training for all operators. \nConduct routine safety inspections and patrols (interior and exterior) to identify, document, and escalate potential hazards or compliance issues. \nCoordinate and facilitate onboarding and safety orientation for new hires and operators. \nLead or assist in emergency response activities, including fire, medical, or security incidents \nMaintain and update safety documentation, incident reports, and training records. \nPartner with Operations and Leadership to identify, investigate, and resolve incidents related to safety, security, and shortage control. \nAssist in investigations involving internal theft, cargo theft, workplace violence, and policy violations, including conducting interviews when appropriate. \nPerform physical security audits of intrusion detection, access control, and camera systems to ensure optimal functionality. \nParticipate in facility-wide security audits and track progress to ensure timely corrective actions. \nBuild and maintain partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies. \nSupport business continuity and emergency preparedness initiatives. \nPromote a strong safety culture through active engagement, and recognition programs. \nConduct and facilitate ongoing safety meetings, refresher training, and emergency drills. \nPartner with leadership to drive accountability and continuous improvement in LP/Safety practices. \nBe available for extended hours, weekends, or schedule changes with minimal notice. \nRespond promptly to emergencies and code situations requiring immediate attention. \nProvide flexible support outside of LP/Safety duties during peak or unexpected labor increases. \nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n40% Serve as the LP/Safety Department liaison to Leadership and production floor associates to ensure “buy-in” regarding shortage and safety reduction by engaging, coaching, and training.\n10% Assist in creating, implementing, and enforcing Security and Safety SOP’s\n30% Maintain confidentiality involving security and/or active investigations in the workplace.\n10% Oversee and drive results with Deckers LP/Safety Agents and, oversee overall performance and accountability of Contracted Guard Services.\n10% Work in conjunction with Loss Prevention, Safety and Training to mentor, & developing teammates for career performance improvement.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation/Certifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \nWork Experience:\n1+ years of experience in security service, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or another related field. \nExperience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel. \nWorkplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience. \nAnalytical experience in performance based, action and results oriented setting. \nSkills/Competencies:\nDemonstrated ability to work independently with off-site supervision. \nDemonstrated ability to engage with others at all levels. \nMust have strong oral and written communication skills. \nComfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. \n1+ year of leadership or management experience. \nProfessional credentials in Loss Prevention, such as, Wicklander and Zulawski certification. \nExperience with warehouse or distribution center services. \nUtilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques. \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nMust be able to communicate clearly. \nManual dexterity required. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nModerate: Mostly standing, walking, bending, frequent lifting\nLight: Office work, some lifting, considerable walking\n$20.43 - $22.93The salary range posted reflects the estimated minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in:\nMoreno Valley, CaliforniaIndividual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
