Strong leadership, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners, including regulatory agencies, are essential for success in this position.Responsibilitiesincludebut not limited to:\nSupervise and lead loss prevention/security personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.\n\nConduct routine patrols and security inspections to identify and mitigate safety or security risks.\n\nInvestigate theft, workplace incidents, and policy violations, documenting findings in detailed reports.\n\nMonitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control technology to detect suspicious activity.\n\nRespond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents while coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.\n\nTrain, coach, and evaluate security team members on loss prevention techniques, de-escalation, and emergency response procedures.\n\nOversee and enforcesafety andLoss Preventionprograms and policies within theDC.\n\nConduct regular audits, facility inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks and ensure OSHA and company compliance.\n\nLead incident investigations involving injuries, near-misses, and property damage; implement corrective, theft,and preventive actions.\n\nWork closely withOperationsteam to ensuregovernmental agencies and company requirementsremain in compliance.\n\nCoordinate and deliver raining programs, drills, and onboarding for new hires and temp staff.\n\nMaintain documentation, including training records, inspection logs,SDS, and incident reports.\n\nCollaborate withleadershipto promote a culture of safety and accountability.\n\nStay up to date with federal, state, and local safety regulations applicable to warehousing.\n\nConduct checks on doors, docks, gates, and alarm systems to ensure integrity and functionality.\n\nObserve and report suspicious behavior, discrepancies, or violations ofLPpolicies.\n\nMust be available for potential schedule changes, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, with minimal notice.\n\nFlexibility and responsiveness are critical in supportingSafety,LossPrevention, andoperationsinitiatives during peak periods or unexpectedlabor increases.\n\nDevelop and implement safety procedures and protocols in alignment with OSHA andbest practices.\n\nServe as a liaison with regulatory bodies such as OSHA, EPA, and local fire or health departments.\n\nTravel to other facilities as needed to provide support, implement best practices, and assist with training or special projects.\n\nAvailable to respond to off-hour calls, including late-night and weekend emergencies, to support safety incidents, investigations, or urgent operational needs.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n% OF TIME\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List in order of importance,the 5 essential job functions andestimate thepercentage of timespent on each. Total must equal 100%.\n20%\nServe as theLPDeptliaison to Leadership and production floor associates to ensure “buy-in” regarding shortage and safety reduction by engaging,coaching,and training.\n20%\nAssist in creating,implementing,and enforcing SOP’s\n20%\nMaintain confidentiality involving security and/or active investigations in the workplace.\n20%\nOversee and drive results with DeckersLP/Safety associatesas well as, oversee overall performance and accountability oftemp associates.\n20%\nWork in conjunction with Manager of Loss Prevention, Safety and Training to mentor, & developing teammates for career performance improvement.\nQUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications needed in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.\nEducation/Certifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nWorkExperience:\n3+ years of experience insecurity, loss prevention,safety, risk management, or another related field.\n\nExperience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel.\n\nWorkplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.\n\nAnalytical experience in performance based, action and results oriented setting.\n\nSkills/Competencies:\nSPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:\nDemonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including in off-site environments.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience engaging effectively across all levels.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced andable to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\n\n1 year+ of leadership experience, with a focus on team coordination and operational efficiency.\n\nProfessional credentials in Safety certifications.\n\nExperience with warehouse or distribution center services.\n\nSolid understanding of best practices in safety, physical security systems, investigative techniques, , and strategies for safety within distribution centers.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
