The Senior Store Manager is responsible for coordinating plans and actions in the areas of people development, sales, payroll, inventory and budgets with their District Manager. The Senior Store Manager utilizes and coordinates all services provided by UGG and makes them consistent with the short and long-term interests of the Company. This position ensures that the store provides the highest level of customer service possible. Major parts of the job on a day-to-day basis include managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales, and meeting customer demand. In addition, the Senior Store Manager has responsibilities above and beyond the role of a Store Manager; including; driving various key businesses, building new business classifications, and developing talent throughout the district.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPersonnel Development:\nSupports DM in identifying and interviewing potential management candidates, conducts appraisals and performance management.\nSupports DM in building bench strength within the District, hires teams who pursue passions that relate to the Company's products and philosophy.\nSupports DM in by mentoring and providing support to Store Managers within the District.\nManages and motivates store teams to increase sales and improve efficiencies.\nDelegate workload effectively to develop managers, as well as to meet business needs.\nSupports Store and District in ensuring all employees are demonstrating the meaning and importance of customer service as outlined in Be the Brand customer Service program by observation, feedback and ensuring the store is maintaining a positive customer experience and engaging to build a customer relationship.\nPromote and monitor quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model.\nPromotes a positive work environment by recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining a respectful work place.\nBe personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions or concerns.\nInspire employees so that each person contributes to the productivity of the store.\nFosters open communication between stores and corporate business partners and departments.\nWrites performance evaluations and goal assessments for the Associate Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Keyholders. Ensures all store associates are given reviews on schedule and documentation is received by the HR Department.\nOperations:\nMaintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitor what local competitors are doing.\nSupports DM by conducting self-audits with attention to the key controls involving receiving and cash handling.\nDrives improvements as needed.\nManage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.\nSupports DM, in maintaining training standards to ensure both product and systems expertise that will improve store operations and allow for better customer service.\nFollow and maintain merchandising standards that reflect the image of UGG as described in the Visual Standards Binder.\nMen's Store and new initiatives\nFinance:\nSupports District Manager in managing the budgeting and financial planning of stores while achieving results in own store.\nEnsure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses for short and long term success.\nMake staff aware of sales goals.\nMonitor the Loss Prevention program to protect the Company's inventory and assets and minimize annual shrink.\nMaintains acceptable inventory shrinkage measured as a percentage of sales.\nTake necessary action to lower expenses if sales goals are not being met.\nFunctional Competencies:\nProficient in Microsoft Applications \nAbility to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization. \nDrive for excellence, motivated self-starter. \nEffective empowering communicator, good problem solver \nKnowledgeable in current trends \nInnovative manager with people & processes \nSets plans & objectives, clearly delegates tasks. \nDevelops, manages and trains direct reports. \nExperience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities \nExcellent verbal, written communication skills and problem solving abilities \nExcellent team-building, project management and organizational skills \nAbility to multi-task in a fast paced environment \nExceptional attention to detail \nValid Driver’s License \nEducation/Experience:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree Preferred or Equivalent Experience Required\nWork Experience:\n6 years minimum of retail store management experience required\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nIn general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
