Team member may perform other duties as assigned.\nSet up production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures\nAssist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures\nCalibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges\nKeep production logs\nProvide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors\nSet up and verify the functionality of safety equipment\nStart up and shut down processing equipment\nAdhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance\nDuties may involve piping fitting; insulating; welding; machining; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning and balancing new equipment.\nPerform routine maintenance, such as inspecting dive, motors, or belts, checking fluid level, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.\nAssemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.\nOrders parts and supplies from catalogs or suppliers as needed\nRequests feedback from production team members on the operation of production machinery\nIdentify and correct safety issues on all equipment \nPrioritize work orders and maintenance projects\nMaintains a clean and safe work environment \nLevel of Supervision Responsibility:\nNone.\nQualifications:\n2-3 years of relevant experience required, within a food production environment preferred\nMachine shop safety\nMachine shop skills as in welding, fabrication and construction \nUnderstanding pneumatics, different types of controls, hydraulics, vacuum systems, refrigeration \nExperience with general plumbing and building repair\nIndustrial electrical work: single and three-phase motor controls\nAbility to read blueprints and wiring diagrams\nManage safety devices: lockout, tagout procedures \nForklift, manlift or electric scissor lift certification(s) desired\nArticlating boom electric lift, Telescopic boom gas lift preferred\nRequires telephone communications skills, basic math skills, basic reading and writing skills\nMust have basic computer skills and internet search skills\nMust be available to work any shifts including graveyard and weekend hours if needed\nMust have a valid driver’s license \nPhysical Activities:\nRequires mobility. Physical setting may be in office, plant, or warehouse. Requires fine and gross motor control and coordination. Requires working with a variety of machine shop tools, power and hand tools. Requires mobility and some crawling, bending, twisting and climbing. Requires lifting 40 pounds or more occasionally and frequently lifting 20 to 30 pounds. Requires ability to drive between the two manufacturing plants. Involves sitting, standing, walking, and communication abilities. Environment may be loud and dusty at times and may be subject to temperature changes.
