This role supervises maintenance staff, coordinates with community management, and ensures the property’s upkeep supports resident satisfaction. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \nSupervise, schedule, and support maintenance staff and porters \nCoordinate maintenance requests, work orders, and preventive maintenance programs \nConduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues \nTrain, coach, and evaluate maintenance technicians and porters \nCollaborate with community managers and leasing teams to prioritize maintenance tasks \nManage vendor relationships and oversee contracted services \nMaintain maintenance records, logs, and inventory controls \nElect to participate in the voluntary Opt-In Emergency Call Assistance Program \nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies \nRespond promptly to emergency maintenance requests \nAssist in budgeting and cost management for maintenance operations \nNon-Essential Duties \nAssist with resident communications regarding maintenance concerns \nParticipating in special property improvement projects \nSupport company safety and training initiatives \nOther duties as assigned \nRequired Qualifications \nHigh school diploma or equivalent required \n2+ years of maintenance experience in residential property management or related field \nSupervisory or leadership experience preferred \nKnowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills \nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively \nProficient with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office \nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation \nAbility to work flexible hours including weekends \nAbility to communicate effectively with team members \nPreferred Qualifications \nCertification or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades \nOSHA safety certification \nWork Environment and Physical Requirements \nWorks indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions \nFrequently climbs ladders, works in confined spaces, and handles tools and equipment \nRegularly lifts or moves objects up to 50 pounds \nUses personal protective equipment as required \nMay drive between multiple community locations \nCompany Values \nAll team members are expected to uphold and model our core values: \nIntegrity – We do what’s right, even when no one is watching. \nCommunity – We foster collaboration and connection with those we serve. \nJoy – We bring positivity and appreciation to our work. \nPride – We take ownership and celebrate a job well done. \nPersonal Responsibility – We hold ourselves accountable to commitments and results. \nContinuous Improvement – We embrace feedback, learning, and innovation. \nEqual Opportunity Statement \nDecron Properties is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
