This role is ideal for an engineer with solid production experience in Kubernetes and distributed systems who enjoys solving complex reliability, performance, and operational challenges.\n\nAs an SRE, your primary focus will be ensuring platform stability, availability, and operational excellence across customer environments. You will work closely with a Tech Lead and cross-functional teams to improve system resilience, strengthen incident response processes, and continuously enhance infrastructure reliability, security, and performance.\n\nA key part of this role is active participation in incident management, including on-call, investigation of P1/P2 incidents, root cause analysis, and implementation of long-term preventive measures.\n\nLocation: Ukraine/Europe, remote.\n\nEngagement: full-time, long-term.\nResponsibilities:\n\nBe responsible for platform stability and ad hoc implementations on the projects you are assigned to.\n\nContinuously evaluate infrastructure and propose improvements in: Security, Performance, Cost optimization, (with support from a Tech Lead).Participate in on-call for critical P1/P2 incidents\n\nPrepare runbooks and a knowledge base for L2 engineers\n\nHandle day-to-day operational and infrastructure tasks raised by customers\n\nExperience & Qualification:\n\nCloud & Infrastructure:\n\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS (minimum 3 years).\n\nSolid production experience with Kubernetes (minimum 2+ years)Experience with Amazon EKS (preferred) or other managed Kubernetes platforms\n\nCreating and managing clusters\n\nPerforming cluster upgrades\n\nTroubleshooting production workloads\nInfrastructure as Code using Terraform\n\nStrong Linux knowledge\n\nKubernetes & Container Ecosystem:\n\nDeep understanding of Kubernetes architecture (API Server, Scheduler, Controller Manager, etcd, CNI, CSI)\n\nStrong hands-on experience troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads (pods, nodes, networking, DNS, storage, scheduling)\n\nProven ability to debug production issues (CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, Pending pods, failing probes, resource pressure)\n\nTroubleshooting service-to-service communication issues (ClusterIP, NodePort, Ingress, LoadBalancer)\n\nExperience operating workloads on managed Kubernetes platforms (e.g., EKS)\n\nExperience managing and deploying workloads using Helm (chart development, templating, dependency management, values structuring)\n\nHands-on experience with: HPA (Horizontal Pod Autoscaler), Karpenter, KEDA (would be a plus)\n\nUnderstanding of scaling strategies, limits, and cost implications\n\nExperience working with GitOps workflows\n\nFamiliarity with ArgoCD — nice to have\n\nUnderstanding of deployment strategies (rolling, blue/green, canary)\n\nExperience operating stateful workloads inside Kubernetes\n\nUnderstanding of Persistent Volumes, StorageClasses, and CSI drivers\n\nExperience working with databases deployed in Kubernetes (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or other stateful services)\n\nDatabases & Data Layer:\n\nExperience managing AWS databases: RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), DynamoDB.\n\nUnderstanding of:Backup and restore strategies\n\nScaling (read replicas, autoscaling, provisioned vs on-demand capacity)\n\nMonitoring database health and performance\n\nSolid knowledge of SQL queries, indexing, query optimization, and execution plans\n\nDatabase configuration and tuning (connections, memory, storage engines, replication settings, parameter groups, etc.)\n\nExperience managing databases running inside Kubernetes (stateful workloads)\nUnderstanding of networking and security between applications and databases\n\nAWS Services & Networking:\n\nManaging applications on EC2, ECS, EKS, Serverless architecture (Lambda).\n\nExperience with S3, SNS, SQS.\n\nNetworking & Edge: CloudFront distributions, ALB / NLB, AWS WAF.\n\nObservability & Monitoring:\n\nSetting up and maintaining an observability stack:Prometheus\n\nGrafana\n\nAlloy (or similar collectors)\n\nVictoria metrics would be a plus\nConfiguring alerting\n\nWorking with CloudWatch metrics and logs\n\nUsing SNS + Lambda for alert automation and routing\n\nMonitoring Kubernetes clusters and databases\n\nCI/CD: GitHub Actions; GitLab CI is a
