However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.\nAbout the role\nAs a UX/UI Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping digital experiences used by thousands of customers, brokers, and employees. You'll combine customer insights, design expertise, and business objectives to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences across our digital ecosystem.\nWhat you’ll do here:\nEvaluate existing applications and their UX (user experience) effectiveness considering human-computer interaction principles of design\nDesign accessible, mobile-friendly interfaces for online quotes, self-serve policy changes, and claims reporting.\nDeveloping and maintaining design wireframes, mockups, storyboards, journey maps, sitemaps, screen flows and specifications\nAnalyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience\nRunning user testing of applications, software, and websites with employees and customers\nConducting competitor and customer analysis to inform designs and create best in class online customer experiences\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet both user needs and industry compliance standards.\nBuild requirements and coordinate with the development team to bring the designs to life\nConduct user research and usability testing to understand client needs across personal, commercial, and specialty insurance.\nContinuously optimize digital experiences based on analytics, broker feedback, and customer insights.\nManage a Figma instance including a design system\nWhat you bring to the table:\nPost-secondary education in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Product Design, Customer Experience, Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.\n3+ years of experience designing digital products, websites, web applications, or customer-facing experiences.\nA portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work, including research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivered solutions.\nStrong understanding of user-centred design methodologies, information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.\nExperience conducting customer research, usability testing, and translating insights into meaningful design improvements.\nAdvanced proficiency with Figma and modern design systems.\nWorking knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA) and inclusive design practices.\nExperience using analytics and customer insights to validate hypotheses and measure design effectiveness.\nFamiliarity with Agile delivery environments and collaboration within cross-functional product teams.\nExcellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong problem-solving abilities combined with business acumen and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.\nMeticulous attention to detail while maintaining a strategic, big-picture perspective.\nExperience within insurance, financial services, e-commerce, or other highly regulated industries is considered an asset.\nThis position will fill an essential role in our team.We are an equal opportunity employer\nBrokerLink is committed to providing an accessible environment.
