We hold ourselves and each other accountable for demonstrating these behaviors daily, as we fulfill our commitment to building and maintaining an exceptional Heaven Hill culture.\nHow You Will Spend Your Time?\nSupervise the activities of employees engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials\nDirect and supervise the scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments to ensure most economical utilization of carriers based on service parameters; interface with operations to resolve any problems associated with scheduling and dispatching; recommend programs that improves the transportation function\nManage the defined carrier that is providing services to the facility including meeting with local carrier representatives to discuss base transportation related issues, monitoring carrier performance, and reviewing current practice versus potential improvements by changing carrier mode or mix\nCoordinate the VAPS program which is seasonal but requires coordination of approximately 30 additional temporary employees for a 5-month period\nDevelop and implement warehouse safety and security programs and coordinate related activities\nIssue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated\nLead and coordinate the 21-day production planning process to optimize the bottling schedule, balancing customer demand, inventory requirements, material availability and operational constraints while minimizing unnecessary size and flavor changes on bottling lines\nConfer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities including production, processing, sales, finance/accounting and purchasing\nRecord shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting and recordkeeping purposes. Reconcile damages/shortages for control states\nReview invoices, work orders, consumption reports or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and utilize information to assign work tasks\nInspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs or replacements\nSchedule or monitor surface pickup, delivery or distribution of products or materials\nConduct physical inventory on all raw materials and finished goods\nSchedule and approve all dock maintenance\nProcure shipping supplies including stretch film, air bags, supplies, log books, trip reports, etc.\nCommunicate effectively with employees, customers and carriers in person, via email or phone to accomplish necessary objectives\nNegotiate and manage costs associated with transportation, fuel charges, overtime etc.\nMaintain and replace forklifts and material handling equipment as needed\nCoordinate the filling and shipping of product samples for the Sales and Marketing Teams\nUtilize parent company resources and capabilities to ensure organizational goals and objectives are achieved\nWork closely with Heaven Hill Brands Inventory Manager and Finance Manager to ensure accurate inventory process including cycle counting processes and physical inventory processes\nResponsible for creating and maintaining “Continuous Improvement” culture\nWho You Are…\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or related field \nFive (5) years of experience in a supervisory/management role in a manufacturing distribution environment or may substitute equivalent years of work related experience\nMinimum eight (8) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment\nExperience in continuous improvement within the manufacturing industry\nKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.\nKnowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.\nKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.\nExcellent critical thinking and analytical skills…using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, as well as analysis and synthesis from multiple data sources \nAbility to plan, organize and prioritize work\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nEstablishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships\nAbility to lead and coordinate the work activities of others\nMonitoring and controlling resources\nDeveloping and building teams\nExcellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nValued but not Required Skills and Experience:\nAdvanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and IFS\nPrevious experience in the distilled spirits industry\nAPICS Certification\nPhysical Requirements\nWhile performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to:\nStand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. \nOccasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds\nBenefits\nPaid Vacation\n11 Paid Holidays\nHealth, Dental & Vision eligibility from day one\nFSA/HSA\n401K match\nEAP\nMaternity/Paternity Leave\nHeaven Hill and its affiliates are committed to fostering a diverse workforce as an Equal Employment Opportunity company.
