The role will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR Manager across the employee lifecycle, whilst also supporting end-to-end payroll processing for both salaried and hourly paid employees in the UK and the US.\nThis is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, confidential, and comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment.\nRequirements\nHR Administration:\nProvide day-to-day HR administrative support across our UK and US operations.\nCoordinate recruitment administration, including job postings, candidate management and interview scheduling.\nManage onboarding and offboarding processes, preparing contracts, documentation, right-to-work checks and employee records.\nMaintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.\nSupport absence management processes, including sickness and holiday administration.\nAssist with employee benefits and pension administration.\nMaintain training records and support performance review processes.\nProvide administrative support for employee relations cases and HR projects as required.\nSupport employee engagement initiatives, surveys, policy updates and other people-related activities.\nProduce HR reports and metrics, identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.\nPayroll Administration:\nProcess accurate and timely monthly payroll for UK and US salaried and hourly paid employees.\nPrepare payroll inputs and liaise with external payroll providers.\nReview timesheets and payroll data to ensure accuracy.\nCalculate overtime, shift premiums, bonuses, statutory payments and deductions.\nSupport compliance with UK and US payroll legislation and statutory requirements.\nMaintain payroll records and support audit activities.\nRespond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.\nPrepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Finance and management.\nAssist with year-end payroll activities, including P60s, P11Ds and statutory reporting requirements.\nKey Skills & Competences\nEssential\nPrevious experience in payroll administration, including hourly and salaried payroll.\nGood understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.\nExperience providing HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent organisational and communication skills.\nExperience handling confidential and sensitive information.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll systems.\nProactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach.\nDesirable\nExposure to US payroll and employment administration.\nExperience within a manufacturing, engineering or SME environment.\nCIPP qualification or working towards one.\nKnowledge of pension auto-enrolment administration.\nComfortable working independently and collaborating within a small team.\nAdaptable and willing to take on a broad range of HR and payroll responsibilities.\nBenefits\nWhat's in it for you\nSalary - competitive\nBonus - Performance related bonus scheme\nPension - 9% employer contribution with an optional employee contribution\nAnnual Leave - 25 days, plus statutory holidays\nWho we are\nDEEP Manufacturing, based in Avonmouth (Bristol) offers advanced manufacturing capabilities and expertise in large-format metal additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping and material testing.
