Our technology empowers healthcare organisations to optimise image management processes, enhance patient care, and streamline workflows through seamless integration and actionable data insights.\nJob Summary\nThe DevOps Engineer is a hands-on engineering role within the Platform Engineering team, responsible for supporting and evolving DeepHealth's AWS-based infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD tooling, and operational processes. Working closely with the Senior Platform Engineer, this role focuses on infrastructure automation, cloud operations, platform reliability, and continuous improvement. The DevOps Engineer plays an important part in helping development teams deliver software efficiently while ensuring that DeepHealth's infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and resilient.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n· Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform or equivalent), ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control.\n· Manage and improve Kubernetes platforms (EKS or similar), including cluster configuration, scaling, upgrades, and reliability.\n· Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software delivery across development teams.\n· Monitor platform health and performance, respond to incidents, and drive root cause analysis and resolution to maintain high availability.\n· Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks to reduce toil and improve team efficiency.\n· Implement and maintain cloud security best practices including IAM policies, network security, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.\n· Support development teams with platform tooling, onboarding to infrastructure services, and resolving environment-level issues.\n· Manage container image pipelines and registry, including security scanning and lifecycle management.\n· Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and architectural decisions.\n· Contribute to cost monitoring and optimisation across cloud services, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.\nPLEASE NOTE: This is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and requirements of the position described above. Other functions may be assigned and management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:\n· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (required).\n· 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure role (required).\n· Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and related) (required).\n· Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments (required).\n· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent (required).\n· Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform (required).\n· Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation (required).\n· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs (required).\n· Security-conscious approach to infrastructure design and operations (required).\n· Preferred: Experience with observability and monitoring tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).\n· Preferred: Familiarity with GitOps practices and tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).\n· Preferred: AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect).\n· Preferred: Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare or finance.\nQuality Standards\nCommunicates, cooperates, and consistently functions professionally and harmoniously with all levels of supervision, co-workers, visitors, and vendors.\nDemonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism and integrity, and exercises confidentiality in all areas of performance.\nFollows all local, regional and country laws concerning employment.\nFollows all DeepHealth policies and procedures.\nFollows data privacy, compliance, safety and confidentiality standards at all times.\nPractices universal safety precautions.\nPromotes good public relations on the phone and in person.\nAdapts and is willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.\nReports to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintains satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with DeepHealth guidelines.\nCompletes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.\nPhysical Demands\nThis position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking.
