If you want to be part of a team defining how AI transforms high-stakes knowledge work, this is the place to do it.\nAbout the role:As a Forward Deployed Engineer at DeepJudge, you own the technical implementation of our AI search platform for some of the world’s leading law firms. Every customer environment is different: from cloud-native deployments to complex on-premise infrastructure, enterprise identity providers, document management systems, and datasets containing hundreds of millions of documents. Your mission is to ensure customers successfully deploy, integrate, and adopt DeepJudge in their environments.\nThis is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role that sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise AI. You’ll spend your time deploying software, solving complex integration and infrastructure challenges, troubleshooting production issues during customer implementations, and working directly with engineering teams to continuously improve the product and deployment experience. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to make every deployment faster, more reliable, and easier to operate. If you enjoy solving difficult technical problems, working directly with customers, and seeing the impact of your work in production, this role is for you. No travel is required for this role.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nOwning the technical solution end to end, from architecture and hands-on implementation through production rollout and adoption, adapting DeepJudge to the customer’s environment and needs along the way.\nDeploying and configuring DeepJudge across cloud and on-premise customer environments.\nIntegrating DeepJudge with enterprise systems such as document management systems, identity providers, cloud platforms, and other data sources.\nTroubleshooting complex issues across deployments, infrastructure, networking, authentication, integrations, and application behavior.\nBuilding deployment automation, implementation tooling, documentation, and operational playbooks that make customer deployments faster, easier, and more scalable.\nWorking closely with Product, Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to solve complex technical challenges and improve both the product and deployment experience.\nBringing recurring customer requirements and challenges back to the team and helping turn them into product and engineering improvements.\nTaking ownership beyond your immediate projects: spotting what is missing, fixing what is broken, and helping us build the processes and tools we need as we scale.\n\nYou’re a great fit if you:\n\nHave 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Forward Deployment, Solutions Engineering, or a similar technical role.\nHave experience deploying or operating enterprise software in production environments.\nHave experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Azure or GCP.\nEnjoy working directly with enterprise customers, building trusted technical relationships, and guiding complex implementation projects from kickoff to production.\nEnjoy troubleshooting complex technical problems that span infrastructure, integrations, and application behavior.\nCan communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nBonus: Experience with enterprise search, AI/LLM platforms, document management systems, Infrastructure as Code, or experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment\n\nWhat you can look forward to:\n\nOwning the deployment of AI systems that power knowledge discovery for some of the world’s leading law firms.\nSolving challenging engineering problems across enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, authentication systems, and large-scale data environments\nWorking closely with experienced engineers, product teams, and customers to shape both our platform and how it is deployed\nA high-ownership engineering culture founded by ex-Google search engineers and ETH Zurich AI PhDs, where customer feedback directly influences the product\nThe opportunity to improve deployment tooling, automation, and operational processes as we scale globally\nA collaborative team in Zurich shaping how AI transforms professional knowledge work.\n\nAt DeepJudge, we believe great teams are built on diverse perspectives and experiences.
