Fundamental implementation decisions are still open. You’ll help make those decisions, test ideas, and build and operate the resulting systems in production.\nWe’re looking for engineers with experience building stateful backend systems. Experience with storage systems, distributed execution, or data processing infrastructure would be particularly relevant. You should be comfortable investigating unfamiliar problems, questioning assumptions, and making technical decisions with incomplete information.\nWhat you’ll do:\nTaking end-to-end ownership of core components of our new data platform, from design to running in production\n\nWrite reliable, production-grade software and help set high engineering standards for a growing system\n\nYou're a great fit if you:\nHave strong fundamentals and can think from first principles, turning rough ideas into well-designed abstractions\n\nHave experience shipping and operating backend systems while paying careful attention to correctness, reliability, and performance\n\nHave experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and a solid understanding of how they work\n\nWant real ownership and are energised, not slowed down, by ambiguity\n\n(Nice to have) Have experience with data engineering or big data technologies\n\n(Nice to have) Have experience working with or building stateful infrastructure, such as job schedulers, workflow engines, or data processing systems\n\n(Nice to have) Have experience evaluating and optimizing large LLM workloads for quality and cost.\n\n(Nice to have) Have startup experience or open-source contributions\n\nWhat you can look forward to:\nCo-Ownership of a core platform\n\nHard, meaningful engineering problems across orchestration, storage, and distributed systems\n\nRoom to grow with the platform - as it scales, so does your scope\n\nLocation: Office 5min walking distance from Zurich central station, where we primarily work on site\n\nAt DeepJudge, we believe great teams are built on diverse perspectives and experiences.
