Reporting directly to the CEO, you take end-to-end ownership of finance, from planning and controlling to customer billing and investor reporting.\nToday, our finance tasks are spread across internal stakeholders and external partners. You bring them in-house and build the structures we need for our next chapter.\nYour Responsibilities\nOwn planning & controlling: Take ownership of our business plan, financial models, budgets, cash-flow forecasts and scenario analyses, and keep them up to date with monthly closing data.\nSteer performance: Create clear visibility on how we perform against our targets, flag risks and deviations early and turn numbers into decisions.\nOwn customer billing: Make sure every invoice is complete, accurate and on time, and reconcile usage data, billing metrics and charges.\nAutomate with Product & Engineering: Work with Product and Engineering on billing logic and data discrepancies, automate our billing workflows around Stripe and translate technical issues into business implications.\nBring finance in-house: Take over planning and reporting from our external CFO-as-a-service provider and continuously improve our finance processes and reporting structures.\nCoordinate accounting & investor reporting: Own preparatory bookkeeping and the collaboration with our external tax advisor, prepare quarterly investor reports and support adjacent legal and administrative topics where needed.\nYour profile\n4 to 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A or a comparable finance role, ideally with around two years in an established startup finance team.\nStrong skills in business planning, financial modelling, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and scenario analysis.\nPractical understanding of customer billing, reconciliation and preparatory bookkeeping. Deep accounting specialization is not required.\nReady to own finance end to end as our most senior finance professional: you work independently, prioritize well and improve processes pragmatically.\nHigh diligence and numerical accuracy across planning, reporting and operational finance.\n Clear, approachable communication: you translate financial and technical complexity into business implications and work closely with the CEO, Product, Engineering and external advisors.\nComfortable in a company in transition, with evolving priorities and a broad scope.\nNice to have: experience with Stripe, Retool, usage-based billing or BI tools, and a degree in finance, business or a related field.\nFluent German (C1 or higher) and good English.
