Your Responsibilities
As an OFP Quality Engineer - Weld for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL supporting the Front End Equipment Weld Business Unit, you will:
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, efficiency, and cost improvements.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure that products meet established quality standards and customer requirements throughout the production and delivery processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT to perform engineering functions

What Skills You Need
- Ability to work off shifts, overtime, and weekends if needed
- Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with production teams and external suppliers
- A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks
- Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality
- Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases
What Makes You Standout
- Previous shop floor experience working in a union environment
- Experience with CVML, torque tooling, or other mistake proofing tools
- Experience with JDAAT coding and other MES systems (SAP, Ignition, etc)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Creo View software
- GMAW experience & failure modes
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, data analytics, or equivalent related work experience. Others may apply.
