RIGHT NOW.\n John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans. \n\n Primary Location: United States (US) - North Dakota - Fargo\nFunction: Product Engineering (CA)\nTitle: Senior PE Control System Engineer - 123187\nOnsite/Remote: Onsite Position\n\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a Senior PE Control System Engineer located in Fargo, ND or Cary, NC, you will:\nDevelop advanced electric drive controls solutions at both component and system levels for a broad range of applications\nValidate and deliver controls software through code development, HIL validation, dyno testing, and field integration support\nConduct advanced eDrive and vehicle system simulation to support features development and vehicle performance assessment\nInterface with stakeholders to develop control system requirements that support vehicle electrification solutions.\nMentor other control and software developers in design, modeling, coding, and testing practices.\nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\n4 or more years of experience for advanced power electronics and/or control algorithm development\nDemonstrated Experience with simulation tools for power electronics or electric drives\n3 or more years of hands-on power electronics and/or drivetrain testing experience (HIL, lab, field)\nEffective written and verbal communication skills (English)\nRelevant research experience in academic institutes will be equally considered\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nAdvanced degree with a focus on power electronics and/or control system development\nExperience with advanced electric motor control, dc/dc converter, grid-tied inverter, energy storage integration and vehicle power management\nExperience with Hardware-in-Loop system\nExperience with advanced control systems and techniques such as observer, model predictive control, etc.\nExperience with advanced digital signal processing schemes such as filter design\nExperience with FPGA or embedded software development\nExperience with advanced research topics\nExperience with power electronics hardware design\nEducation\nIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\nMinimum of Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on power electronics and/or drivetrain control system.
