The incumbent acts as a technical specialist for the Client-Partners, providing support and producing deliverables for complex infrastructure and environmental projects. The incumbent undertakes research, and conducts studies and assessments to provide technical advice to the Client-Partners.\nKEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES\nThe duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:\nPrimary\nResearch, prepare and present documentation required for long-term projects (e.g. approvals, statements of work, projects charters, budgets, policies and procedures)\nComplete project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects, including new construction, major recapitalization and environmental assessment and remediation\nSupport Client-Partner project approval processes by facilitating decision making within Client-Partner organizations through the development of business case analysis, functional space programming and other documentation\nCoordinate work with Client-Partner representatives\nParticipate in procurement planning and prepare tender documentation\nCoordinate activities of consultants\nAct as the representative of the project director or project manager, within DCC delegated signing authority\nUpdate program and project databases\nMonitor and control project schedule and costs\nSupport and/or lead business development activities\nDevelop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders\nEnsure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations\nManage risk Other\nPrepare monthly reports\nOther duties as assigned\nSKILLS\nGeneral and Specific Knowledge\nBest practices, methods, trends and legislation in real property, environmental services and construction services\nClient-Partner project management policies and procedures • Treasury Board Secretariat policies and procedures\nProject and risk management principles\nFormal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience\nMinimum: college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with five years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent\nPreferred: university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training or experience in project management\nAbilities\nUse applicable computer software and operating systems\nApply project and risk management techniques\nDEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP\nProvide functional direction and advice to employees and to Client-Partners \nWORKING CONDITIONS\n Typical office environment with occasional travel\nSome work may be located on construction sites;
