are looking for a motivated individual to join our Building and Infrastructure Programme Centre, where you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to shape and enhance the capabilities of our defence facilities to support MINDEF/SAF’s operational needs.\nThe role will require you to:\nManage construction projects for MINDEF/SAF from planning to tendering and evaluation, site/construction management and transition to Operations & Support\nConduct feasibility and front-end studies and work out project plans, budgets and schedules\nPrepare and evaluate invitations to quote and tender submissions to ensure objectivity in the selection process, as well as to ensure that selected solutions meet MINDEF/SAF’s needs and are within the approved budget, schedule and project deliverables\nConduct design reviews to ensure that proposed designs meet the project requirements\nConduct regular project meetings and reviews to monitor design development and site progress\nConduct inspection, testing and commissioning of the works on site to ensure that performance specifications are met\nMonitor and track defects rectification during the Defects Liability Period and ensure that defects are rectified on time\nKeep abreast of innovations in the building industry, as well as policies and governance updates relating to real estate and facilities maintenance management, build-environment management and workplace safety and health\nRequirements\nTertiary qualifications in Civil & Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering\nPreferably with at least 3 years of relevant experience in project management of construction projects\nGood understanding of benchmarks, guidelines, statutory requirement and Singapore Standards/Code of Practice in relation to construction management would be an advantage\nPreferably with knowledge and experience in Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written\nResourceful, good problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in a
