The Accounts Payable Associate is expected to maintain internal controls and support for financial transactions.\nWork location: Hybrid, based in Mumbai.\nWork hours: Partial overlap with US normal business hours.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nCollaborate with all departments on payables and expenses\nMonitor payables email inboxes for US and India\nInvoice approvals, entry, and coding for multiple entities in financial system\nVendor statement reconciliations\nReview support for corporate credit cards to ensure compliance to policies\nReview weekly expense reimbursements to ensure compliance to policies\nExpense report entry and coding in financial system\nDaily application of bank activities to financial system\nCoordinate support for India accountants\nAssist with monthly financial close by providing support as requested\nAssist with financial, insurance, tax and other audits and engagements\nNote: The responsibilities for this position could expand to include other duties based on the needs of the company and the skills of the candidate.\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team:\nBachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting or business\n1-2 years of relevant accounts payable experience preferred\nStrong spreadsheet skills, including Vlookup, Xlookup, and Pivot tables\nBasic knowledge of GST and TDS compliance and filing requirements\nFamiliarity with financial systems (Intacct and Tally preferred) and MS Office applications\nHighly organized and detail oriented\nExcellent written/verbal English communication skills\nA self-starter mentality with ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize independent judgment\nProblem-solving skills with a drive to implement continuous improvements\nFounded in 1985 as Premier International and rebranded in 2025, Definian combines four decades of trusted results with the energy of an AI-enabled future.
