In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.\nDEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Spring semester starting in January and ending in June/ July 2027.\nHow you will make an impact as a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op:\nWork with a mechanical group designing and testing medical products\nDesigning test fixtures\nCreating and executing test procedures and generating write-ups to summarize test method and results\nCAD work including solid modeling and drawings\nSupport the mechanical group and accomplish tasks with minimal direction\nSkills we are looking for in a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op:\nMust be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at the undergraduate junior/senior or graduate level.\nMechanical aptitude and hands on mechanical experience (working on cars, fixing bicycles or FIRST robotics a plus)\nSOLIDWORKS (or other CAD program) experience\nKnowledge of creating manufacturing drawings\nExperience with Rapid Prototyping\nExperience with data acquisition and data presentation (python or LabView experience a plus)\nKnowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics (CFD experience a plus)\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills\nMust be detailed oriented\nAbout DEKA:\nOne hour from the beach, Boston, and the mountains, the historic Amoskeag Millyard once housed the largest textile mills in the world.
