The role involves setting up and operating testing equipment, preparing test samples, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSafety\nContribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies. \nTest Setup and Preparation\nSet up and calibrate EMC testing equipment according to test specifications.\nPrepare test samples, including configuring and installing them in test environments.\nEnsure all test equipment is functioning correctly and maintained properly.\nConducting Tests\nPerform EMC tests following defined procedures and standards (e.g., CISPR, EN, FCC).\nMonitor and record test results accurately.\nIdentify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing.\nData Analysis and Reporting\nAnalyze test data to determine compliance with EMC standards.\nPrepare detailed test reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations.\nCommunicate test results to engineering teams and other stakeholders.\nCompliance and Standards\nEnsure all testing is conducted in compliance with relevant national and international standards.\nKeeps abreast of current EMC standards, test procedures, instrumentation, technology and engineering service capabilities by internal training sessions, external seminars, and reading technical articles.\nAssist in maintaining the quality management system and test documentation.\nSupport and Collaboration\nCollaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on EMC issues.\nAssist in the development of test plans and procedures.\nProvide technical support during product development and troubleshooting.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nEducation: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics or equivalent experience. \nSystem and/or technical requirements: MS Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point and email/ internet software required.\nUnderstanding of EMC/EMI principles and standards.\nAbility to read, comprehend, interpret, and apply the requirements of test standards to various types of products.\nProficiency in using EMC testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, anechoic chambers).\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.\nFlexibility to work on shifts as assigned; and to rotate shifts with teammates.\nInterpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.\nWork as a team player on a multi-cultural team.\nFrequent use of analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to handle multiple projects at varying stages at one time.\nDeliver results on time using analytical and logical problem-solving skills.\nCustomer-focused orientation; professionalism.\nAbility to work autonomously and/or in a team environment.\nOrganizational skills and attention to detail.\nContinuous education to maintain and grow adequate knowledge of technology relating to the position.\nGood technical/mechanical skills/aptitude\nPhysical Considerations:\nAbility to work in a laboratory environment.\nMust be able to accommodate working various shifts as lab activities are scheduled.\nAbility to move and conduct work with full range of motion\nExtended periods of computer-based work; sitting, visual\nExtended periods of standing with need to stoop, kneel, or stretch and extend to install computer equipment\nAbility to operate a computer and telephone keyboard\nAbility to lift and move test equipment and samples (up to 50 lbs).\nTravel Considerations:\nDomestic and/or international travel; estimated up to 15%.\nWhat You’ll Receive for the Value You Bring:\nCompensation:\nThe base pay for this position is $65,000 annually to $75,000 annually. This position is designated as bonus-eligible, subject to plan terms and conditions.
