This role directly supports process and production safety at our client’s facilities. The information generated from this testing will also provide support to our Consulting team when generating client-specific reports to help clients better understand production risks during material processing and production of final products.\nAbout DEKRA's Princeton Process Safety Laboratory\nDEKRA's Princeton Process Safety Laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to help clients around the world understand and manage the risks associated with industrial dusts, powders, gases, vapors, and reactive chemicals. Serving industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, chemical processing, energy, and advanced materials, the laboratory conducts a wide range of process safety tests that support safer facility design, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Team members work alongside experienced scientists and engineers in a collaborative, hands-on environment, generating critical safety data that helps prevent incidents, protect employees, and improve industrial processes across some of the world's most innovative companies.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nContribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies. \nPlan, set-up, and trouble shoot lab scale equipment\nConduct standard and non-standard testing with minimal supervision on a daily basis\nSet up, validate and troubleshoot laboratory testing system in coordination with test engineer and/or testing standards\nManage and report data in a professional and standardized manner\nMaintain test equipment, testing logs, and other related records\nHandle, prepare, and stage various materials for testing and disposal\nWhat You’ll Bring\nMust have basic working knowledge of good laboratory practices, general lab equipment, and PPE usage\nLaboratory work experience in related areas or pilot scale plant setting\nMust have good written and verbal communication skills\n2-4 year degree in a technical area with 0-2 years relevant work experience or equivalent laboratory experience\nPhysical Considerations:\nThis is a lab-based position with extended periods of time spent wearing PPE; required PPE is hearing protection, eye protection, and the potential for any other necessary personal protective equipment. Personal protection equipment are furnished by DEKRA. Must be able to wear a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) and pass a respirator medical exam.\nRegular lifting of Extended periods of computer-based work\nPhysical requirements include (up to extended periods): sitting, walking, standing, use of stairs, bending, and reaching.\nThe position is in a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.\nMay work around and/or be exposed to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards\nMay be exposed to potential loud noise levels, chemicals, dust, allergens, irritants, controlled substances, and extreme temperatures\nTravel Considerations:\nNo travel required for this position.\nWhat You’ll Receive for the Value You Bring:\nCompensation:\nThe base pay for this position is $21.00 per hour to $24.00 per hour.
