final sign-off before external distribution remains with the VP.\n\nOwn portfolio-wide financial statement templates and checklist standards.\n\nIdentify and help implement process improvements across the financial statement close.\n\n Specialty Areas\nOwn inter-entity mapping , intercompany transactions and equity, ensuring accuracy across the portfolio; Project Accountants provide direct support within their assigned entities.\n\nOwn the framework and execution for specialty technical accounting areas (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, Intangibles, Inventory, etc.), which may evolve as the business grows.\n\nResearch technical accounting issues and monitor GAAP developments relevant to owned specialty areas.\n\n Contract Review & Technical Memos\nIndependently review agreements (e.g., tax equity, offtake, debt, and similar documents) and draft the full technical accounting memo, including a proposed accounting position, for new deals and transactions as they arise.\n\nEscalate final memo conclusions and any novel or precedent-setting treatment to the VP for sign-off.\n\nAudit Support\nSupport management of the annual audit process, including PBC coordination, follow-up, timeline adherence, and related tasks.\n\nEscalate open or unresolved technical accounting inquiries to the VP.\n\nPerform other ad hoc duties as requested.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.\n\nCPA required.\n\n5-8 years of relevant accounting experience.\n\nIndustry background in project-based accounting (construction, oil & gas; renewables/energy infrastructure preferred); prior industry experience required - not straight from public accounting.\n\nDemonstrated ability to independently propose - not just document - an accounting position on a complex issue.\n\nKey Attributes for Success\nEager to identify and provide solutions to complex accounting issues, and to bring ideas that improve processes.\n\nProficiency in Sage Intacct required;
