The Project Accountant will gain broad exposure across the business and have a real hand in shaping process improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn project-level accounting for assigned projects - reviewing and validating invoice coding and project allocation, partnering with Accounts Payable on invoice and payment support, and coordinating the project financing (draw) package as the accounting point of contact.\nCollaborate with Accounts Payable, Finance, Development, Construction, Operations, and Procurement to ensure accurate accounting and cost allocation across a multi-entity organization. This is a highly visible role with significant cross-functional interaction and the opportunity to influence and improve business processes.\nPrepare and own monthly and quarterly project reconciliations, continuously improving processes, controls, and supporting documentation.\nHelp document and improve accounting processes and procedures to support a growing organization.\nPrepare internal and external project-level reporting.\nSupport month-end close and financial audits, recommending procedural improvements to ensure accounting and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.\nPerform other ad hoc duties as requested.\nThe company seeks individuals eager to develop their core professional knowledge, learn new areas of the business, and take on additional responsibilities within the company's dynamic team. Secondary responsibilities will be tailored to individual candidate backgrounds as well as company priorities.\nMinimum Qualifications\nDegree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience demonstrating an understanding of accounting practices and procedures.\n2-4 years of general accounting experience.\nCPA preferred\nStrong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nKey Attributes for Success\nEager to take ownership, bring ideas to improve processes, and grow within a fast-moving environment.\nAttention to detail and good time management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
