As Team Lead Flex Foundry, you own this chain end-to-end: from customer needs and product roadmap, through design rules, sourcing and development, to manufacturing, testing and delivery. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining product, technology, customers, people and operations. You will report to our CPO and Co-Founder of Delft Circuits.\nOur Foundry operation enables customers to design and manufacture advanced flexible circuits using Delft Circuits’ technology. We develop and maintain our Foundry product offering and roadmap, including the design rules and Process Design Kit (PDK), support customers with their designs, manufacture their products and perform basic testing.\nAbout Delft Circuits\nDelft Circuits develops and manufactures advanced cryogenic I/O solutions that enable the next generation of quantum computing systems. Working at Delft Circuits means contributing to cutting-edge technology while collaborating with an ambitious and multidisciplinary team.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nOwn and drive the Foundry product roadmap, translating customer and market needs into priorities for new capabilities, products and improvements\nOwn and further develop the Foundry offering, including its PDK, design rules, manufacturing capabilities and testing\nWork directly with customers to understand their applications, assess designs, define technical solutions and turn opportunities into executable projects\nCoordinate product and process development with our Research and Process Development teams and bring new capabilities into the Foundry offering\nLead the day-to-day Foundry operation, including planning people, equipment, materials and shared lab capacity\nDrive product quality, repeatability, yield and continuous improvement in manufacturing and testing\nManage technical relationships with external suppliers and project partners for substrates, materials and specialized fabrication steps\nLead, coach and grow the Foundry team while remaining closely involved in technical and product challenges\nEnsure learnings from customers, projects and manufacturing feed back into the product roadmap, design rules and future Foundry capabilities\nYou will report to the CPO (Co-Founder Delft-Circuits)\nWhat You Bring\nA PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Nanotechnology, Microelectronics or a related field, or equivalent industrial experience\nAt least 5 years of experience on top of the PhD in a semiconductor fab, flex/PCB manufacturing, microfabrication or comparable high-tech manufacturing environment\nStrong technical understanding of materials, fabrication processes, products and manufacturability\nThe ability to translate customer and market needs into product requirements and a technical roadmap\nExperience leading people or technical teams in a development or manufacturing environment\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, projects, equipment and competing priorities\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Research, Engineering, suppliers, project partners and customers\nExperience working directly with customers, including scoping technical projects and turning customer needs into solutions\nAn entrepreneurial mindset: you identify opportunities and find practical ways to turn them into products and customer projects\nBonus Points for\nExperience owning or contributing to a technical product roadmap\nExperience with PDKs, design rules or design-for-manufacturing\nExperience with flexible substrates, thin-film processing or semiconductor microfabrication\nExperience bringing new technologies or processes from development into a customer-facing product or production environment\nKnowledge of process and quality methods such as DoE, SPC, FMEA and root-cause analysis\nExperience scoping or selling technical development and manufacturing projects\nPersonal Attributes\nYou are someone who connects the dots.
