About the Role:

We are seeking a Dutch speaking, highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Associate to join our expanding team in Belgium. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving Deliveroo's growth by proactively identifying, engaging, and onboarding new restaurant and food business partners (including supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, etc.) onto the Deliveroo platform. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with potential partners and showcasing the value proposition of partnering with Deliveroo in Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent.

Responsibilities:

• Actively identify and prospect potential restaurant and food business partners within your assigned territory.
• Conduct outreach (via phone, email, and in-person meetings) to introduce Deliveroo and its benefits to prospective partners.
• Present Deliveroo's value proposition clearly and persuasively, addressing the specific needs and concerns of each business.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to successful onboarding of new partners.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
• Negotiate partnership terms and agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Onboarding, Account Management) to ensure a smooth and successful launch for new partners.
• Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and the local food and beverage landscape.
• Meet and exceed targets for new partner acquisition.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and progress within CRM systems.

Requirements:

• Native Dutch speaker is essential.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in French is a strong plus.
• Proven sales experience is a significant advantage.
• A genuine passion for food and the restaurant/grocery industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
