It's a global team - the surfaces we build support all of our brands: Deliveroo, Wolt, and Doordash. You'd be the team's first dedicated web/full-stack engineer, helping us build out our web experience from the ground up.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn and evolve the store, item, basket, and checkout experiences on web, working primarily in React and TypeScript\nContribute to backend services written in Golang - deep Go experience isn't a hard requirement, but you should be comfortable picking up a new statically typed backend language\nImprove code structure, shape architecture, and review code across the team\nPartner closely with your Product Manager and fellow engineers to scope and ship changes to the ordering funnel\nTake part in the hiring process and support the growth of your teammates as the team scales\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust haves:\nStrong full-stack experience - comfortable working across web frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Go, or similar) to unblock delivery end-to-end\nExperience designing, implementing and rolling out A/B experiments (or strong aptitude to quickly learn our experimentation platform) - including guardrail metrics, staged rollouts and reading results\nComfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities and short XP cycles (weeks, not quarters)\nStrong ownership mindset - able to take a brief PRD through design, implementation, rollout and production monitoring with minimal hand-holding\nTrack record of shipping incrementally and iterating on data rather than big-bang launches\nWilling to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents\nNice to haves:\nExperience coordinating engineers across multiple platforms (iOS/Android/Web/BE) on a single initiative\nActive use of AI-assisted coding workflows, and interest in building reusable tooling/skills for the team\nWe're looking for someone London-based who can work from our office 2-3 days a week alongside the rest of the team.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters-solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving.
