If so, then we’re keen to chat!\nRole Background\nAs we continue to scale, we’re now looking for an experienced Direct Tax Manager to join the team. In this role, you’ll be involved in global corporate tax projects on planning, implementation and tax reporting, ensuring compliance and supporting the organization with these topics. \nWhat makes the Finance team so special is our ‘service first’ approach to the job - we enjoy creating strong communication loops with the wider business, so that bottlenecks are minimised and that things get done quickly and efficiently.\nEverybody is accountable for their own workload and takes pride in being meticulous and precise. We also enjoy learning and developing as we go - it’s important that you share this approach! :)\nWhat you’ll be doing\nInstruct and advise the business and other finance teams on direct tax questions\nManage international direct tax compliance and tax reporting processes (CIT, WHT etc.) across Wolt's global entities, in close collaboration with the accounting team\nDevelop and implement tax processes across the organization, driving efficiency in compliance and reporting through testing and using several AI tools\nMonitor global corporate tax developments and help shape our responses and strategies\nProvide advice and arrange training on international tax matters\nOur humble expectations\nSignificant, hands-on experience in corporate income tax processes in relevant international environments\nExperience with IFRS or US GAAP tax reporting is seen as an advantage\nMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law or similar\nStrong finance or accounting skills\nExperience working at a senior level, with the ability to take responsibility, drive initiatives and guide others\nCuriosity and willingness to develop, test and adopt new ways of working, including AI tools, and to drive efficiency\nThe Wolt usuals: Ability and passion to work autonomously in a fast-moving international environment, strong relationship building and customer service mindset, and a true growth mindset to consistently learn and develop skills.\nA note on technology\nWolt has a separate tax technology team, so you don't need to be a technical person.
