As Design Lead at foodora, you will set the strategic vision and design direction for our digital product, brand identity, and campaign touch-points across 5 markets in Europe. You will lead and scale a multi-disciplinary design team, fostering a culture of design excellence, user empathy, and innovation.

In this role, you will champion the integration of Generative AI and automated design workflows across the department, transforming how foodora conceptualizes, scales, and delivers personalized quick-commerce and delivery experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Strategy & AI Vision: Define and execute the end-to-end design strategy across rider, customer, and partner ecosystems. Lead the organization’s AI adoption roadmap, establishing AI frameworks, and automated design scaling across markets.

• Leadership & Operational Scaling: Coach, mentor, and manage the team. Optimize design ops by integrating AI-powered prototyping and content-generation tools to increase team efficiency.

• Cross-Department Alignment: Own design integration across Product, Brand, and Marketing, ensuring seamless cross-departmental collaboration from project kickoff to launch.

• Brand & Experience Strategy: Drive brand consistency across physical and digital touchpoints, leveraging AI to drive hyper-localized, context-aware visual assets at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in product or brand design, with 4+ years leading multi-disciplinary design teams in fast-scaling tech, e-commerce, or Q-commerce.

• AI Proficiency: Deep understanding of how AI models reshape product experiences, design systems, and creative production pipelines.

• Leadership & Influence: Proven track record of scaling teams, establishing design ops, and presenting design-led AI innovation strategies to C-suite stakeholders.

• Portfolio: Demonstrates high-impact work, strategic system design, and instances of leveraging modern AI tooling to accelerate team output.
