Software Engineer II, Content Quality - Quick Commerce

We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer II to join the Content Quality team within our Quick Commerce department. We own how millions of customers interact with our product content in real time - the accuracy, completeness, and trustworthiness of the products behind our dark stores and local-shop partners around the globe (groceries, pharmaceuticals, flowers, and more).

As a Software Engineer II, you won't just write code: you'll own real production services, help shape how we validate and enrich content at scale, and grow your engineering craft alongside a senior, distributed team. We're looking for an engineer who thrives on high-traffic challenges, is passionate about engineering excellence, and takes extreme ownership of their work.

What You'll Do

• Build & Ship: Design and implement high-traffic services and APIs that transform how we handle product content at scale - delivering well-scoped features end-to-end, from design input through to production.
• Contribute to Evolution: Take part in the architectural evolution of our Content Quality systems, balancing immediate business needs with long-term system health, with guidance from senior engineers - and proactively propose improvements in your area.
• Collaborate Broadly: Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data) to solve complex challenges in the content domain.
• Optimize at Scale: Monitor and fine-tune system performance to ensure a seamless experience for our global users. Own the Content Lifecycle: Help manage the end-to-end journey of product content - from ingestion and validation to enrichment and customer-facing exposure - keeping content quality a dependable pillar of the entire QC ecosystem.
• Champion Quality: Practice modern methodologies like TDD, Continuous Delivery, and Scrum, and grow your peers through insightful code reviews.
• Own the Lifecycle: Take ownership of the services you build - from design and debugging to post-deployment monitoring and scaling - accountable beyond the merge.

• Python Experience: at least 4+ years of professional experience building robust applications in Python. (Exposure to Golang is a plus!)
• Scale Awareness: Experience with - or a genuine drive to build - large-scale, distributed systems that handle high request volumes.
• CS Foundations: A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on exposure to AWS or GCP and a "Configuration as Code" mindset (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm), with a willingness to deepen it.
• Modern DevOps: Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Drone) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, distributed tracing).
• Data Skills: Solid knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) databases.
• Ownership & Pragmatism: You're a collaborative problem-solver who makes data-driven decisions, takes extreme ownership of your work, and drives problems to resolution without waiting to be told. Communication: Quality-first mindset in giving and receiving feedback.
