The team works at the forefront of technology, driven by a passion for innovation, harnessing each other's strengths, & radiatesa strong sense of camaraderie.\nJoin us to do the best work of your career & make a profound social impact as a Test Tech Analyst on our Performance team in Austin, Texas.\nYou will:\nExecute performance benchmark and validation tests on mobile and desktop PC platforms per established test plans\n\nPrepare test systems, including hardware setup, OS installation, driver/BIOS updates, and tool installation\n\nLog, organize, and maintain accurate test data in shared databases and reporting tools\n\nUtilize AI to provide preliminary data analysis to support engineering decisions\n\nPerform light mechanical and electrical tasks, such as swapping components (RAM, SSDs, thermal solutions, batteries) and connecting power measurement equipment and thermal sensors\n\nMaintain lab organization, inventory, and equipment calibration schedules\n\nCollaborate with architects, thermal, BIOS, and software engineers on cross-functional testing\n\n Essential Requirements\nStrong computer literacy, including comfort with PC operating systems\n\nDetail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong organization and the ability to follow structured test procedures and document results thoroughly\n\nBasic understanding of PC hardware components (CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, motherboards)\n\nComfortable with light mechanical work and ESD-safe handling\n\nBasic familiarity with spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) for data collection and simple analysis\n\nStrong communicator who works well in a team-oriented lab\n\nWillingness to learn AI-assisted productivity tools as part of daily workflows\n\nDesirable Requirements\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree (in progress or completed) in a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience; 0-3 years in a lab, testing, or technical support environment is a plus\n\nFamiliarity with benchmark tools (e.g., Cinebench, 3DMark, PCMark, Geekbench) or willingness to learn\n\nFamiliarity with power or thermal measurement tools (e.g., multimeters, thermocouples, IR cameras)\n\nBasic scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Batch) to support test execution\n\nExperience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, AI-based data analysis) to improve efficiency or automate routine tasks\n\nA+ certification, CompTIA, or similar technical certifications\nCompensation\nDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
