The technical narratives you create will clearly demonstrate how Dell offers the best value and overall solution for its customers.\nJoin us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Technical Proposal Writer - Federal on our Technical Content Development Team in Round Rock, Texas.\nYou will:\nClosely collaborate with the project pursuit teams throughout the proposal lifecycle to develop compliant, compelling, and succinct narratives conveying team qualifications and technical approach in response to RFP requirements.\n\nDevelop and write customer-facing narratives that meet, and exceed where possible, Request of Qualifications/Request for Proposals (RFQ/RFP) criteria including, but not limited to technical approaches to solution design, project management, services and project delivery, experience/past performance, and cover letters.\n\nParticipate in pre-proposal meetings and contribute to the development of storyboard and win themes based on RFQ/RFP requirements.\n\nReview the RFQ/RFP for specific response criteria for assigned deliverable sections; Develop compliance matrices to ensure all customer requirements are addressed in a compelling and compliant manner.\n\nParticipate in proposal stand-up calls, and coordinate ad-hoc meetings as required to ensure your deliverables are progressing according to required timelines and deliverable due dates.\n\nIdentify, coordinate, and collaborate with a diverse group of sources for required inputs to storyboard, develop, and write compelling and compliant technical narratives including conducting interviews to successfully extract and articulate needed technical information as required to develop and refine your technical narratives.\n\nWork closely with the Proposal Manager to integrate the narratives into the proposal document and ensure the narratives follow all bid document requirements.\n\nAttend proposal document review sessions and provide edits and comments on the entirety of the document as needed, beyond assigned sections, and support document recovery writing efforts.\n\nDevelop, influence, and continuously improve the overall proposal process by contributing useful content and winning narratives for re-use as appropriate. Write and edit additional content as needed.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nEssential Requirements\nFive or more years’ experience in technical writing, preferably in creating compliant and compelling technical narratives in response to the customer’s RFP requirements in the IT industry.\n\nSuperior writing skills, including editing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading.\n\nMust possess strong leadership, organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe.\n\nMust have a strong attention to detail and be adept at working in a deadline-driven environment, and in coordinating virtual teams.\n\nBachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or higher, preferably in a relevant area such as English, Marketing, Communications, Business, Science, Engineering or related field.\n\nMust be a verified U.S. citizen\n\nDesirable Requirements\nExperience with the Federal procurement process, with strong preference for experience in responding to RFPs and RFIs in a high-tech field.\n\nKnowledge of Dell solutions, including core products and services, plus emerging innovations in 5G, AI, cybersecurity, data management, and professional services a plus.\n\nProven ability to work on multiple tasks or projects at various levels of completion.\n\nExperience with the design and layout of proposal document page content is a plus.\n\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, which may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.\n\nPossible infrequent travel as required.\n\nCompensation\nDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
