You will tackle the toughest technical challenges in enterprise environments-driving solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and overall system efficiency for global customers.\nWhat you’ll achieve\nAs a Principal Systems Development Engineer, you will be responsible for advanced root-cause analysis, performance optimization, configuration tuning, and long-term stability improvements. You will work with Customer Engineering on escalations to address critical customer issues by: Collaborating with core engineering teams, Customer Support, Incident Management, and customers to stabilize and optimize enterprise environments. Performing root cause analysis and kernel-level debugging on supported enterprise operating systems running on Dell hardware. Applying your expertise in computer architecture and OS internals to resolve complex issues and improve system resilience. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:\nEssential Requirements\n Experience: 8+ years in software/hardware engineering (or equivalent) with deep expertise in one or more of the following: Object storage, NAS (Network Attached Storage), Linux/BSD operating systems, Networking and protocol stacks (SMB, NFS, etc.),Filesystems, Analytics, observability, and data science\nWork Model: Onsite, 5 days a week.\n Schedule: Weekend work on a rotational basis (comp days provided), occasional early/late shifts, and overtime as needed.\nDesirable Requirements\nProficiency in Java, C, Python, and scripting\nProven experience in developing automation frameworks and applying AI/agentic tools to drive operational efficiency and scalability\nWho we are\nWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
