You will leverage data analysis and dispatch profiling to identify trends, investigate issues, and support root cause analysis. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure timely containment and resolution of potential quality concerns while promoting continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.\nJoin us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Principal Engineer on our Quality Engineering team in Round Rock, Texas.\nYou will:\nCollaborate with external and internal Enterprise partners to drive continuous and measurable improvements in product and process.\nMonitor field performance of hard disk drives and solid-state drives used in the ISG portfolio to identify issues and allow for early investigation and mitigation.\nLead investigation, capture root cause failure analysis, lead containment and corrective actions, and document lessons learned to prevent issue recurrence.\nDrive (HDD and SSD) quality across the ISG portfolio to identify and implement projects to improve Customer Experience and reduce dispatched rates (FIR). \nLead Quality extended team to execute plans/schedules that support LOB goals and initiatives. \nForecast lifetime dispatch rates (5 yr. FIR) for current and new platforms. \nDefines and drives reduction initiatives, and develops supporting business cases for product design features \nCommunicates with leadership and sometimes executive level teams, proactively communicating and recommending options and solutions, ability to make a case prior and anticipate questions \nDeals with ambiguous situations within project, across organization and influencing change Considers impact on customers in quality decisions\n Take the first step towards your dream career\nEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:\nEssential Requirements\nBA/BS Degree in Engineering field (electrical, mechanical, systems, computer) with 4+ years of related experience or MS degree with 2+ years of related experience\nStrong computer skills (Excel proficiency required, VBA and SQL aptitude a plus)\nStrong data analysis skills, statistical knowledge a plus\nAbility to work effectively with global team members\nStrong communication, leadership, project management, and change management skills.\nWorking knowledge of quality methodologies, including 6 sigma, lean, 8 disciplines, etc.\nDesirable Requirements\nExperience and knowledge of hard drives, solid state drives or other storage devices\n\nAdvanced understanding of statistics and data analytics\n\nExperience and ability to leverage AI tools to assist in data analytics\n\nComfortable presenting data and conclusions in executive forums\n\nCompensation\nDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.The salary range for this position is$124,100 to $160,600\nBenefits and Perks of working at Dell Technologies\nYour life.
