The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including supporting monthly and year-end closings, conducting monthly and ad hoc analyses and reconciliations, preparing regulatory reports - BE GAAP for both statutory and consolidation purposes, as well as IFRS - compiling management financial statements, preparing tax declarations.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting, legal, and tax regulations. \nPerform detailed analyses of profit and loss and balance sheet movements on both a monthly and ad hoc basis. \nConduct balance sheet reconciliations and reconcile data across different accounting ledgers. \nCollaborate closely with accountants, central finance controllers and controllers from various business units to obtain accurate and timely information for analysis. \nReview and propose accounting treatments for new transactions within the firm. \nAssist in the preparation of tax declarations. \nDocument and optimise internal controls across various business cycles. \nServe as the primary point of contact and coordinator for internal and external audit processes.\nLet's talk about you\n\nMaster’s degree in Accounting or Economics. \nBE GAAP knowledge is required.\nProficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is advantageous. \nVery strong analytical, mathematical, and reconciliation skills, coupled with a critical mindset. \nExperience in audit is a plus. \nSolid understanding of consolidation processes. \nAbility to work independently in an organised and structured manner, prioritising effectively. \nCapable of explaining and documenting processes clearly and systematically. \nProactive in suggesting improvements and optimising ways of working. \nProficient in Dutch and English. \nEager to learn, adaptable, and a committed team player. \nClear communicator with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. \nResilient under pressure.\nWho is Deloitte?\nWe provide industry-leading audit and assurance, tax and legal, consulting and related services.
