The consultant will be a key figure in enhancing software supply chain security and driving the adoption of secure development practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nResponsibilities but not limited to;\nSoftware Engineering:\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Java and JavaScript\nBuild scalable and secure applications based on cloud-native architectures.\nLead code reviews and contribute to system design and technical strategy.\nEvaluate and integrate open-source technologies.\nDevSecOps & CI/CD:\nDesign and optimize CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated security testing (e.g., code scanning, dependency analysis).\nDevelop automation to support continuous integration, testing, and secure deployments.\nPromote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices.\nSecure Development Lifecycle (SDL):\nChampion and embed SDL practices throughout the organization.\nConduct threat modeling, security design reviews, and support the remediation of security findings.\nEssential Skills and Experience\nExperience: 5+ years in enterprise software engineering.\nCore Programming: Strong hands-on proficiency in Java and JavaScript\nArchitecture: Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and software design patterns.\nCI/CD: Extensive experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins).\nSecurity:\nStrong knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices and secure coding.\nUnderstanding of software supply chain security concepts (SBOMs, dependency management, vulnerability management).\n(Preferred) Experience with Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools and implementing DevSecOps.\n(Preferred) Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and policy-as-code.\nTechnologies:\nContainerization: Docker and Kubernetes.\nCloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nEducation\nA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience a related technical field is required.\nIR35\nAs a means of managing tax, commercial and reputational risks, Deloitte prohibits the use of Associates through Personal Service Companies (‘PSCs’).
