Our Deloitte Central Mediterranean practice (Greece, Italy, Malta) hosts our Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud specialty center. We are growing our client pipeline across both Italy and the broader EMEA region, delivering solutions to a diverse and growing portfolio of clients.
We are looking for a Back-End Developer (NodeJS) in Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patras, Heraklion. You will have the chance to contribute to important international projects becoming part of a growing, international network. You will be part of a project delivery team, with colleagues in Greece but as well as members of other international offices, including Italy. Delivering back-end development tasks, as part of an Agile Scrum team. The projects will focus on the delivery of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, based on Digital Commerce platforms.
You will have the opportunity to:

Depending on your previous experience and aptitude, you will progressively be able to:
- Master Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform development and solution design.
- Design and implement scalable back-end solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Interpret functional documentation (user stories) and translate these into technical solutions.
- Refine and mentor others in advanced technical skills in NodeJS, JavaScript, REST API, asynchronous programming, and Git workflows.
- Excel in technological system integration design and API orchestration.
- Conduct testing and verification (unit, system, integration, and acceptance).
- Conduct comprehensive testing strategies (unit, system, integration, and acceptance) and establish quality standards.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Key Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Degree related to Computer Engineering, Information Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in back-end development with a strong focus on NodeJS and JavaScript.
- Excellent knowledge of English and strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously but also within a team, high motivation for consulting field and analytical and problem-solving attitude.
- Advanced proficiency in back-end languages such as NodeJS and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with REST API design and implementation.
- Ability to write efficient, secure, and clean code following industry best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and strong motivation to work in the fast-paced consulting field.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Availability to travel.
Bonus Qualifications
- Professional hands-on experience in eCommerce or Digital Commerce projects.
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or similar commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
