You will be working with clients and other third parties, as well as Deloitte teams from across the Firm. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-impact transformation programmes, including integrations and legacy data migrations, while developing your Snowflake expertise and working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams. You will have a degree of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to communicate to business users.\nYou will combine strong Snowflake data engineering capability with practical experience in enabling analytics and AI-ready data products, translating business and technical requirements into robust, scalable solutions that create trusted data foundations and measurable business value.\nYour role\nAs a Snowflake Engineer, you will solve our clients’ most challenging business problems by applying advanced data engineering techniques to design, deliver and operate robust and cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you may be expected to:\n·Stakeholder engagement: Lead discussions with technical stakeholders and leadership teams to define and deliver data pipelines aligned with architecture.\n·Data models: Develop and implement physical data models covering data acquisition, preprocessing, ETL/ELT integrations and deployment.\n·Data migration: Plan and oversee migration activities for legacy on-premise systems, ensuring scale, efficiency, reliability and clear management of delivery risks.\n·Technology assessment: Evaluate Snowflake technologies and integrate relevant changes into client solutions and internal frameworks.\n·Delivery practices: Lead knowledge sharing, reusable code, technical reviews and CI/CD practices across sprint teams.\n·Design, build, test and deploy scalable batch and near-real-time data pipelines, reusable data products and analytics solutions on Snowflake using SQL, Python, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and Dynamic Tables.\n·Lead delivery across the full data engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, operational readiness and continuous improvement.\n·Lead client and stakeholder discussions to understand business, data and technical requirements, facilitate design workshops and recommend practical solution options.\n·Communicate solution choices, trade-offs, dependencies and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\n·Design and implement robust data models and ETL/ELT patterns that support enterprise reporting, analytics, machine learning and AI use cases.\n·Oversee optimisation of pipelines and Snowflake workloads for performance, reliability, scalability and cost, identifying engineering risks and guiding appropriate mitigations.\n·Embed security, role-based access control, governance, lineage and data quality into solutions, using Snowflake capabilities such as masking policies, secure data sharing, account usage views and governance controls.\n·Enable analytics, machine learning and AI solutions by preparing trusted, governed and reusable datasets and integrating data products with downstream applications.\n·Apply modern engineering practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and data observability.\n·Produce and maintain high-quality technical artefacts including solution designs, data models, interface specifications, deployment documentation and operational runbooks.\n·Lead and guide engineers through technical reviews, reusable engineering standards, coaching and quality assurance across delivery teams.\nConnect to your skills and professional experience\nWe are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following education, experience and technical skills:\nOverall, you are a curious and hands-on problem solver who enjoys collaborating to solve complex data challenges.
