This consultant will partner with Event Marketing, Event Management, vendors, and technical teams to ensure event IT infrastructure is properly designed, implemented, documented, and supported throughout the event lifecycle.\nThis role blends hands on technical execution with project coordination, documentation management, and cross functional stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent events. The consultant will support both planning and onsite delivery activities and will play a key role in ensuring technical readiness and successful event execution.This position requires on-site presence at the San Jose lab 3 times per week.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the Technical Request process, ensuring submissions are reviewed, tracked, and documented accurately\nUpdate technical diagrams, specifications, and related documentation as requirements evolve\nAssist with onsite network setup, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and contingency planning\nMaintain project records and documentation within required management tools\nDevelop event resource and staffing plans, including timelines, sequencing, and dependencies\nPlan equipment installations and IT service orders supporting internal and external event stakeholders\nDesign and support IT network plans for event environments\nCoordinate technical infrastructure installations and onsite IT deployment activities\nServe as a primary technical point of contact for event delivery\nAlign technical plans, requirements, and timelines with event teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders\nPrepare post event documentation including performance summaries, issues, and recommendations\nCapture lessons learned and support process improvements for future events\nQualifications\n2+ years of experience in hands-on networking experience\nExperience reviewing and updating technical diagrams, network layouts, and documentation\nExperience using project tracking and documentation platforms\nHighly organized with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously\nDetails of Position:\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site) plus travel to major events\nPay Rate: $45-$50/hr, Consultant, Contract Opportunity on W2\nBenefits include Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k) (with a match) \nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
