The APAC General Ledger Accountant is responsible for the end-to-end general ledger accounting processes across the APAC region, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a solid understanding of PRC Accounting Standards and a working knowledge of international accounting frameworks.\n\nThe position provides technical accounting support to business and finance stakeholders, oversees month-end and year-end closing activities, prepares statutory and management financial statements, and supports tax compliance and reporting requirements to all the authorities. The role will coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations while maintaining effective internal controls.\n\nAs a trusted business partner, the accountant also provides financial and accounting support for business initiatives, process improvements, organizational changes, and other strategic projects across the region.\n\nKey Responsibilities: \nManage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities across APAC entities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.\nPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.\nPrepare statutory and management financial statements in accordance with PRC GAAP and support reporting requirements to the stakeholders.\nProvide technical accounting guidance and support on accounting treatments for routine and non-routine transactions, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting requirements.\nSupport tax compliance activities by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on tax filings, tax provision calculations, and regulatory reporting requirements.\nCoordinate and support internal audits, external audits, statutory audits, and tax audits, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and best accounting practices.\nPartner with business functions to provide financial and accounting support for new initiatives, operational activities, system implementations, and organizational changes.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes, reporting quality, automation, and operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and alignment with corporate reporting requirements.\n\nIdeal Profile: \nEducational Background: Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited full-time university\nMinimum 3 years of accounting experience in trading and/or manufacturing companies, preferably within a multinational environment.\nStrong background in Finance and accounting\nBig Four or other public accounting firm experience is preferred.\nDemonstrated experience leading accounting, audit, system implementation, or process improvement projects independently.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams.\nBusiness-minded with a collaborative approach and the ability to understand and address the needs of both finance and non-finance stakeholders.\nHigh attention to detail, strong sense of accountability, and commitment to accuracy and compliance.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nFluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAble to thrive in a dynamic multinational environment and adapt to changing business needs.\nBased in Shanghai.\n\nWe offer: \nAn exciting opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and growth-oriented company.\nA competitive remuneration package, including generous benefits.\n\nOur culture is grounded on the foundations of Stewardship, People, Growth, and Excellence, guiding us as we engineer a better future, together.\nStewardship -
