Job Description:
Business Development Manager is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for and deliver results in the Greater China Commercial function.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold the company’s core values and Code of Conduct with unwavering commitment
Lead application and business development initiatives, particularly within the Automotive and Gear segments to advance market penetration and revenue growth
Understand Delrin® value proposition, conduct competitive benchmarking, and identify high-potential growth opportunities aligned with assigned segments.
Understand the entire value chains, market trend, strength/weakness, threat, and related business opportunities for the responsible segments.
Develop growth strategies for growth in China and territory market for Auto and gear segments, and execute it to achieve the business goals.
Manage Key accounts for Delrin® business, build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities at target accounts.
Meet/exceed annual volumes and revenue targets associated with his/her customers
Meet/exceed pipeline build targets and ensure diligent execution to deliver on expected opportunity win levels.
Collaborate closely with Global Key Account Managers and Global Marketing Managers to align local execution with global strategy and accelerate sustainable business growth.
Develop and execute local/global account plans for major customers
Ideal Profile:
Educational Background: Bachelor‘s degree, preferably in Polymers, Material Science, Automotive and Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical) or equivalent through experience.
5+years of sales & development experience.
Strong background in Automotive and plastic gear market
Good in both Chinese and English, with great communication skills
Experienced in developing growth opportunity pipeline and executing on it in a technical environment
Excellent key accounts management experience and skills.
A strong team player with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in multi-cultural groups to achieve business goals.
Self-motivated, proactive, aggressive, initiative, result oriented.
Systems and tools: Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com (desirable).
50%+ travel time are required.
Based in Shanghai.
