This role is well suited for a motivated, self-directed professional who excels in a collaborative and fast-paced environment focused on product and process innovation. The Molding Technician will be responsible for molding test specimens, plaques, and prototype components in support of new product development, technical service initiatives, and advanced research programs. Key responsibilities include managing molding operations and workflow, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and contributing to the development and evaluation of new material formulations, optimization of molding processes, and implementation of innovative molding technologies and techniques.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nSet up, operate, and tear down injection molding equipment, including process verification and troubleshooting.\nDocument and maintain process parameters to ensure consistent, high-quality molded parts.\nMold parts and test specimens in accordance with applicable ISO and ASTM standards.\nInterface with equipment suppliers and mold makers regarding equipment specifications, mold design, and repairs.\nCollaborate with technical staff to support R&D and technical service programs, including troubleshooting customer process issues.\nRecommend and implement improvements to extrusion and molding processes.\nMaintain molding area workflow, including scheduling molding requests and keeping the work area organized.\nSafely operate forklifts, cranes, and chain hoists as needed. \n\nIdeal Profile:\nHigh school diploma or GED \nDemonstrated experience in injection molding and polymer processing \nExperience applying Scientific Molding principles and setting up in-mold sensor systems \nExperience operating machinery with both discrete controls and digital HMIs \nDemonstrated ability to operate equipment safely in accordance with established procedures \nStrong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills to identify issues, troubleshoot equipment, and resolve problems quickly \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and share knowledge across all levels of the organization \nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) \nBased in Wilmington DE.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with single- and twin-screw extrusion, including setup, operation, teardown, and process troubleshooting\nExperience operating gravimetric feeders, liquid pumps, pelletizers, and strand and film dies\nFlexibility to work extended hours as required\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand or walk for extended periods\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly\nAbility to climb ladders\nAbility to work in hot environments while wearing appropriate PPE\nAbility to bend, reach, push, and pull regularly\nAbility to use manual and powered hand tools (electric and pneumatic)\n\nWe offer:\nAn exciting opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and growth-oriented company.\nA competitive remuneration package, including generous benefits.\n\nOur culture is grounded on the foundations of Stewardship, People, Growth, and Excellence, guiding us as we engineer a better future, together.\nStewardship -
