It's critical as a member of the COE to be a standard-bearer for best practices, Salesforce knowledge, and making Delta a better place.\n\nResponsibilities: \nCollaborate cross-functionally with business and other IT teams across Delta.\nChampion development and integration standards, best practices, and their related deliverables.\nWork closely with the Salesforce Process Architect and related IT teams and advisory developers to ensure designs adhere to Salesforce best practices and are built for scalability.\nDeliver processes and components that can be maintained by the business into the future using native Salesforce features and functions whenever possible.\nUse GitLab for source control and understand how to properly deploy code between environments.\nDesign, develop, and deploy Apex classes, triggers, test methods, and Lightning web components to meet business requirements.\nDemonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e. g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, while exercising sound judgment to validate and take ownership of AI-generated output.\nUnderstanding prompt engineering, AI workflows, and/or model integration patterns.\nDebug existing code and improve legacy unit tests.\nParticipate in the creation of documentation to ensure that no component or process is a closed system.\nOptimize and improve existing Salesforce implementations so that every team is achieving the maximum benefit from their investment in Salesforce.\nWork to continually understand the new features added to Salesforce's products and aid the business in regression testing as needed to avoid disruption from any Salesforce-side upgrade.\nAct with urgency and a sense of ownership in the broader scheme of Delta's success.\nSupport off-hours problems when they arise.\n\nRequirements: \nBachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field\n2-4 years of enterprise experience developing Salesforce.com products\nFoundational understanding of agentic AI concepts, AI agents, and workflow orchestration for enterprise business processes.\nA strong desire to maximize native Salesforce functions and to adopt scalability as a core design principle in all projects\nAI-Assisted Development: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Kiro, ChatGPT, or similar) for code generation, debugging, testing, code reviews, and documentation.\nFamiliarity with Salesforce AI capabilities, including Einstein Copilot, Einstein GPT, Agentforce, and Einstein Bots.\nUnderstanding prompt engineering concepts and practical application of AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted tools during Apex, Lightning Web Components, integration development, and test automation activities.\nAbility to review, validate, optimize, and take ownership of AI-generated code while adhering to Salesforce development standards and best practices.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExposure to diverse lines of business using Salesforce in different ways.\nAble to clearly articulate the pros and cons of why you would use a particular method to achieve a solution.\nUnafraid to offer suggestions if there may be a more efficient way to do something.\nExperience in Service Cloud implementation; understanding of the object-based model and governor limits in Salesforce.\nExperience in working with asynchronous and synchronous processes.
