This role partners closely with supports and reports into the Business Unit Controller to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while supporting month end close, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and internal controls.\nThe Assistant Controller plays a key role in financial analysis, month-end close activities, project cost reporting, and business decision support, helping leaders understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs the Assistant Controller, you'll help manage the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities of the business unit. You'll analyze financial results, investigate variances, support budgeting and forecasting processes, maintain financial controls, and collaborate with operational teams to improve business performance.\nA Day in the Life\nYou may spend your day preparing account reconciliations, reviewing manufacturing or service costs, analyzing inventory transactions, supporting month-end close, developing forecasts, or partnering with operations leaders to understand financial performance. You'll work with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and leadership teams to ensure accurate reporting and sound financial decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial record accuracy.\nPrepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting financial schedules.\nAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.\nReview financial results and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.\nPrepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.\nSupport manufacturing cost accounting, including labor, material, and production variance analysis.\nMonitor project financial performance and investigate cost variances.\nCoordinate inventory accounting, reconciliations, and physical inventory activities.\nSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.\nAssist with internal and external audits and prepare required documentation.\nEnsure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.\nSupport ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and accounting process improvements.\nPartner with Operations, Supply Chain, and business leaders to provide financial analysis and decision support.\nIdentify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, financial controls, and operational performance.\nCommunicate financial findings, risks, and recommendations to management.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting knowledge with business partnership and analysis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where financial insight helps drive operational success.\nPosition Requirements\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n2–5 years of accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis experience.\nExperience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.\nExperience preparing financial reports and conducting financial analysis.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.\nManufacturing accounting or service accounting experience.\nExperience with inventory accounting and reconciliation.\nExperience analyzing labor, material, and production variances.\nExperience supporting budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.\nExperience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting internal and external audits.\nExperience evaluating internal controls and implementing process improvements.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.\nKnowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory accounting concepts.\nAbility to analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.\nStrong variance analysis and problem-solving capabilities.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.\nAbility to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and reporting deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to build collaborative relationships across Finance and Operations.\nHigh degree of professionalism, judgment, and
