This role performs maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities aimed at optimizing production performance and equipment reliability.\n\nWhat You’ll Do \n\nAs an Electromechanic Technician, you will maintain and repair production equipment, transformer support systems, and facility infrastructure. You’ll perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient work environment.\n\nWork schedule:\nMonday to Thursday, from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.\n\nSalary: $30.66 per hour + 1.75 $ evening bonus\nA Day in the Life\nEvery day brings new challenges and opportunities to keep our operations running smoothly. As an Electromechanic Technician, you will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain both facility infrastructure and transformer support equipment. Whether you're solving a complex mechanical issue, conducting inspections, or contributing to EHS projects, your work will play a key role in ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the plant.\n\nSpecific Duties \nInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace industrial equipment and components. \nEstablish preventive maintenance schedules, frequencies, and parameters. \nPerform corrective maintenance activities and accurately document completed work in the maintenance management system. \nConduct preventive maintenance tasks and record activities in the maintenance software. \nPerform predictive maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment failures. \nPerform maintenance and repairs on transformer auxiliary equipment and supporting systems. \nMaintain and service pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems associated with transformer production equipment. \nPerform interior and exterior building maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility. \nParticipate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) improvement initiatives and projects. \nSupport continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and productivity. \nMaintain building systems, infrastructure, and utilities to ensure proper operational condition.\n\n Position Requirements \nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanics, or a related field, combined with relevant industrial maintenance experience.\nFluency in French.\nFunctional English proficiency is considered an asset.\n\nSkills & Competencies \nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment maintenance.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.\nExperience working at heights and in confined spaces.\nIndustrial electrical maintenance experience is considered an asset.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.\nWhy Join Us? \nAt Delta Star, you'll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that values professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional service.
