In addition, it sells its products under brand names licensed to the company, including adidas, Wolford, Wilson, Columbia, Tommy Hilfiger and others.\nRole Overview\nDelta Galil USA is seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting, supporting month-end close, maintaining inventory reconciliations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of inventory transactions and financial reporting.\nThe ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, and Production to support inventory accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare inventory-related journal entries and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.\nReconcile inventory subledger to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.\nAnalyze inventory transactions and monitor inventory variances, including purchase price variances, write-offs, shrinkage, and obsolescence.\nPrepare and maintain inventory reserve calculations, including excess and obsolete inventory reserves.\nSupport physical inventory counts and cycle count programs by analyzing results and recording appropriate adjustments.\nReview inventory movement and costing to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.\nPartner with Supply Chain, Operations, Distribution, and Purchasing teams to ensure inventory transactions are recorded accurately and timely.\nAssist with inventory accounting for new products, transfers, returns, and adjustments.\nMaintain and improve internal controls related to inventory accounting and inventory management processes.\nPrepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.\nAnalyze inventory trends and provide financial insights to support business decisions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve inventory accounting processes, reporting, and efficiencies.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with significant experience in inventory accounting\nStrong understanding of inventory accounting principles, including inventory valuation methods such as FIFO and standard costing.\nExperience working within an ERP system, preferably SAP.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nExperience in the apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, or wholesale industry is preferred.\nThis is a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NJ office\nPAY RATE: $80,000/yr-$90,000/yr\nAt Delta Galil, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
