You'll shape front-end architecture, set engineering standards across delivery teams, guide and mentor engineers, and act as the main technical point of contact between your team and stakeholders.\n\nYour Responsibilities :\n\nTechnical excellence :\n\n- Oversee all front-end engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring robust, scalable, secure, high-performing, and accessible solutions\n\n- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor front-end development activities, driving task prioritisation and providing technical assessments and estimations\n\n- Review and validate the technical approach and code quality for all team deliverables, ensuring compliance with best practices, coding standards, and performance benchmarks\n\n- Identify and resolve technical issues and blockers, raising concerns with proposed architecture and escalating when necessary\n\n- Drive the adoption of automation, efficient tooling, and modern front-end technologies and methodologies\n\n- Establish efficient front-end workflows and processes, and maintain supporting documentation, including architectural principles\n\nLeadership and team growth :\n\n- Mentor, coach, and support the professional growth and onboarding of engineering team members\n\n- Track and support performance feedback within the team\n\n- Contribute to the recruitment and integration of new front-end team members\n\nStrategy and process management\n\n- Contribute technical insights to project planning, aligning team efforts with project goals and identifying opportunities for technical improvement\n\n- Collaborate with Technical Directors to find innovative front-end solutions and share knowledge\n\n- Support the team in grooming planned activities and detailing stories with the BA/PO, including defining acceptance criteria\n\n- Manage and communicate technical risks, escalating to the Lead PM or Technical Director when necessary\n\nCommunication and stakeholder engagement :\n\n- Act as the main technical point of contact for the team, engaging with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and bridging technical and business perspectives\n\n- Translate business requirements into technical needs in collaboration with the Product Owner\n\n- Present technical solutions and progress clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, escalating larger initiatives to the Technical Director when appropriate\n\n- Provide on-call support when required\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+) fundamentals\n\n- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles\n\n- Experience with Node.js, particularly with the Next.js framework and server-side/client-side rendering concepts\n\n- Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS for building responsive, reusable user interfaces\n\n- Expertise in front-end testing using Jest\n\n- Expertise designing scalable front-end architecture for complex applications, with a strong grasp of component-based and other modern design patterns\n\n- Strong understanding of performance optimisation, benchmarking, security, and accessibility best practices\n\n- High proficiency with Git\n\n- Experience guiding and mentoring engineers, including supporting their professional growth\n\n- Track record of making and owning architectural decisions, and communicating technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nSkills\nFrontend Architecture, UI, OTT, TypeScript, Javascript, ES6, Node.js, React.js","description_format":"text","description_chars":3553,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Media & Entertainment","Broadcasting","Digital Media"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T13:06:44Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
