Praktisk parkforvaltar / Landscape Management Ranger

Stiftinga Geirangerfjorden Verdsarv søkjer ein eller fleire praktiske og sjølvstendige personar som trivst ute i felt og får ting gjort. Arbeidet omfattar skjøtsel av natur- og kulturlandskap, oppgåver knytt til Nasjonal turiststi Fosseråsa, uttak av framande artar, og oppfølging av tiltak og ulike prosjekt. Noko administrativt arbeid må reknast med, og formidlingsoppgåver kan kome til.

Vi ser etter deg som:

• kan planleggje og gjennomføre arbeid sjølvstendig

• er allsidig og samarbeider godt med andre

• har interesse for ivaretaking av kulturlandskap, og forståing for artsmangfald og samspel i naturen

Relevant erfaring veg like tungt som formell utdanning. Ivaretaking av verdsarvverdiane står i sentrum for arbeidet.

Landscape Management Ranger

Would you like to work with landscape management in the World Heritage area around the Geirangerfjord?

We are seeking one or more practical and self-reliant individuals who enjoy working outdoors and getting things done. The work includes management of natural and cultural landscapes, tasks related to the National Tourist Trail Fosseråsa, removal of invasive species, and follow-up of measures and various projects. Some administrative work must be expected, and interpretation/information tasks may also be required.

We are looking for someone who:

• can plan and carry out work independently

• is versatile and works well with others

• has an interest in safeguarding cultural landscapes, and an understanding of biodiversity and ecological interaction

Relevant practical experience is considered as valuable as formal education. Safeguarding the World Heritage values is central to the role.
